The National Defence College hosted Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future in the UAE, to deliver a lecture to the students of the 12th National Defence Course, titled “Readiness for the Future.” She was received by Major General Saeed Hassan Al-Yamahi, Commander of the National Defence College, along with several senior officers and officials at the college.
In her opening remarks, Her Excellency emphasised that since its establishment, and thanks to the visionary leadership of the UAE, the country has achieved significant progress in various areas such as economic and social development, among others.
She further added that successful governments that are prepared for the future are those capable of swift action, with high flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changes by designing proactive programs and seizing all the opportunities that the future holds.
At the end of her visit, Her Excellency signed the guestbook, after which the Commander of the National Defence College presented her with a commemorative gift, thanking her for her valuable lecture and presence.
