His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, attended the graduation ceremony of the 33rd Joint Command and Staff College course, held at the college’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
His Highness congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in their leadership roles and in fulfilling their duties to the nation and preserving its gains and interests. He encouraged them to apply the academic and cognitive skills they had gained, in both theoretical and practical domains, to enhance the readiness and efficiency of the institutions they serve.
His Highness affirmed the leadership’s keenness to prepare national leaders in various military and security positions, reinforcing a culture of excellence and leadership adopted by the Armed Forces institutions in training leaders, and equipping its units with capable individuals. These individuals support national efforts to keep pace with contemporary security challenges and the requirements of future crises.
The ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Brigadier General Saeed Salmeen Al Alawi, Commander of the Joint Command and Staff College, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the patron of the ceremony and the guests. He remarked, “Today, the Joint Command and Staff College represents a picture of time and place. The decree for its establishment was issued by the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. Its flag was raised, its buildings were inaugurated, and its first course was opened by the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him. The one who outlined its features, shaped its policy, led its planning team, and chose its location is His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, may God protect him. Today, the College is honoured by your gracious presence at the graduation ceremony of the 33rd joint course, so that its blessed journey may continue.”
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honoured a number of outstanding officers and graduates from both the UAE and brotherly and friendly nations. He presented awards and certificates to the graduates, and commemorative photos were taken with His Highness. He was accompanied during the ceremony by His Excellency Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of senior officers from the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces.
