Ministry of Defence Celebrates the Graduation of the 1st Batch of Students of Technical Training Project in Greece

The Ministry of Defence celebrated the 1st batch of graduates of the Technical Training Project at the project headquarters in Greece.

The ceremony was attended by Major General Staff Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, HE Sulaiman Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to Greece, several officers and officials from the Ministry of Defence, Arab and Greek academics, faculty members and project employees.

At the opening of the ceremony, one of the graduates delivered a speech in which he extended thanks to the project’s management and academic faculty for their keenness to provide all resources, which was very effective in upgrading their educational competency and attaining the highest grades. He expressed, together with his fellow graduates, their appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, may God protect him, for granting them the opportunity to study in Greece.

The Deputy Chief of Staff and senior guests toured the academic premises, explored the students’ graduation projects and were briefed about their showcased technical exhibits in different fields. These specialized projects impressed the attendees, who applauded the scientific advanced level of the course.

It is worth mentioning that the technical training course in Greece is a step towards technological and vocational development of the UAE nationals. It is one of the technical resources adopted by the Ministry of Defence to prepare a generation of scientifically qualified national technicians who are equipped with modern knowledge and expertise.

At the end of the ceremony, Major General Staff Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan honored the outstanding students and the first in the course. He praised their high-level performance, lauding their constructive interaction in scientific and practical classes and wishing them success in their practical life.
