His Excellency Mattar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, discussed aspects of defense cooperation with a number of Saudi officials in Riyadh. This came during his chairmanship of a delegation from the Ministry of Defense on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during which he was accompanied by Major General pilot Falah Al-Qahtani, Assistant Undersecretary for Policy and Strategic Affairs at the Ministry of Defense, and a number of senior officers and officials of the Ministry.
His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, met separately, His Excellency Lieutenant General Fayyad Hamid Al- Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff in Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness, Lieutenant General Fahd bin Turki bin Abdul Aziz, Commander of the Joint Forces of Arab Coalition, and His Excellency Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ayesh, Assistant Minister of Saudi Defense, His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, and His Excellency Dr. Samir bin Abdulaziz Al-Tabib, Executive Director of the Ministry of Defense Development Program.
During the meetings, they reviewed the UAE-Saudi cooperation relations and means of enhancing them, especially in the defense and military fields. Views were also exchanged on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
His Excellency Mattar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, stressed the depth of relations between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and the close link between the leaderships of the two countries and their peoples and built on firm and historical foundations of goodwill and alliance. This reflects an exceptional model of joint cooperation in various fields, which translates the eagerness of the leadership of the two brotherly countries and realizes the common interest. The meetings were attended by a number of senior officers and officials in the Ministry of Defense and a number of senior Saudi military officials.
