A delegation from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces participates in the 16th International Strategic Conference on Export Control and Border Security, held in Edinburgh, Scotland, in cooperation between the United States and Britain, from October 22 to 24. Eighty-one countries and seven international organizations concerned with licensing and export control, in addition to International transportation companies participate in the conference.
The delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces was led by His Excellency Major General staff pilot Isaac Saleh Mohammed al-Bloushi, Assistant Undersecretary for Defense Capabilities Development and Industry in the Ministry of Defense. The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation and The Executive Office of the Commission for Goods and Materials Subject to Import and Export Control participated in the conference as well.
His Excellency the Assistant Undersecretary met with His Excellency Philip Dolov, Assistant Undersecretary of the US Department of State for Nonproliferation Affairs, in the presence of Talal Mohammed Al Tunaiji - Director of The Executive Office of the Commission for Goods and Materials Subject to Import and Export Control and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they reviewed the areas of cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop them.
The American side praised the efforts of the UAE in developing the regulations, laws, legislations and training in the field of licenses and controlling exports and imports, as well as the capabilities it owns which place it side by side with the developed countries in this field.
