The Ministry of Defense in Abu Dhabi celebrated the occasion of the "International Women's Day" in which military and civilian women members of the Ministry of Defense were honored as a celebrating and appreciation for their efforts in supporting the ministry in servicing the nation.
To celebrate the occasion, a women's delegation from the Ministry of Defense visited Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi. Wahat Al Karama was built to commemorate the martyrs of the UAE and their sacrifices to defend the homeland.
The delegation listened to a detailed explanation about Wahat Al Karama and the symbolism it holds about the sacrifices and heroism of UAE men who sacrificed their lives for the country. The delegation prayed to Almighty God to have mercy on the martyrs along with the steadfast affirmers of truth and the righteous.
The visit included the sites of Wahat Al Karama, which included Al-Fakhr Square, Martyr's Monument and the Wing of Honor, where the delegation listened to an explanation of what these elements symbolize.
The delegation, which included a number of female members of the Ministry of Defense, expressed their pride and appreciation of the heroes of UAE martyrs. This visit comes on this day as a recognition and pride by UAE women of the sacrifices of the martyrs of the nation, making them a guide to further giving and loyalty in the service of the State under the wise leadership.
At the end of the visit, a commemorative photo was taken in front of Martyrs' Monument. Gifts were also distributed to military and civilian women members of the Ministry of Defense in recognition of their efforts in performing their work duties, and in appreciation of the status of Emirati women, the makers of happiness and life, and the partners of goodness and giving.
